The Mother Tongue Languages Symposium is an annual event promoting the learning and use of Mother Tongue languages in Singapore, for children, educators and parents.
Having tasked to provide turnkey management service for the past 3 symposiums, Milton Singapore was once again involved in this year's event.
For MTLS 2016, the team aimed to create an interactive environment to help inspire usage of Mother Tongue languages in the daily life.
The result was the event's first ever Sense Gardens, consisting of the Gardens of Sight, Hearing, Smell and Touch. Common Stimuli in everyday life, such as the sounds of chirping birds, feel of grass and smell of coffee, were ingeniously incorporated into these gardens, and are identified by the various Mother Tongue languages. Throughout the event, curious children are encouraged to connect with these languages via their senses, creating an interesting and memorable experience.
