With its remote camps, many formations and formidable-looking equipment, the army remains largely unknown and daunting to the general public. To help raise better awareness of the army and generate a more positive soldier image, the Singapore Armed Forces decided to hold a public exhibition to showcase what goes on in the army.
The Milton team was tasked to conceptualise, build and manage the entire event, which was roved to 2 locations - Toa Payoh Hub and NEX, for 2 weekends.
Named "A Soldier in every Family, Our Army Exhibition", the exhibition was designed to be as interactive as possible. The hands-on elements at each exhibition booth gave visitors a more in-depth understanding of the various military formations and equipment. Military vehicles on display provided good photo opportunities, while soldiers distributing army ration food samples mingled with the crowd. Finally, the event also featured interesting stage games and activities, such as combat training and military working dog demonstrations.
