As THE gallery overseeing the largest public collection of Southeast Asian modern art, National Gallery Singapore celebrated its first anniversary with a bang. With premises opened till 3am and a massive line-up boosting exciting activities, art and collaborations, the gallery created an entire festival.
Titled "Gallery Light to Night Festival", the event spanned across 2 weekends, and was jam-packed with art, fun and excitement. To engage and resonate with everyone from all walks to life, the Milton team proposed activities that were Fun, Trendy and Local.
Trendy foods were introduced at the Festival's Food street, and local home-grown talents such as Nathan Hartono and Charlie Lim were engaged to serenade the crowd. Finally, fun came in the form of a specially built adult disco ball pit, a light-projection show on the gallery facade, a flea market, various interactive art installations and fringe activities scattered around the Gallery's grounds.
On top of planning the event, the Milton team also tasked with managing the logistics for 10 days of programmes and 60 performances within the Gallery's 64,000sqm premises, for a one-of-a-kind anniversary celebration.
